This coffee comes from the lush volcanic soils of the Rwenzori mountain range in Western Uganda, bordering the D.R Congo. Sourced directly form a community of 35 lead farmers, along the steep slopes, who grow and harvest the cherries on their small farms before delivering only the juiciest of red cherries to a central drying center. Cherries are thinkly spread on a raised bed, where they mature and dry for 20-30days.
